i am updating the database daily with the daily stock price. I just need to know which approach is better for performance

the price details updated to csv and the values taken from csv and uploaded to database fully. or only the updated data of the day taken from csv and pushed to database.

i am using R to get the detail so can i directly use R to upload the details to MySQL database

which would give a better performance

what is better in designing a database that contains more than 10 tables with same nature ( lookup tables with Id,Name) and other 5 tables that have ( Id,Name,Status,Remark), is it recommended to make two tables ( lookup) and workflow with one to one relation to preserve normalization, or to keep the things open?
