I copied the sql code to a new query tab, added some breakpoints (including one right at the start) and then I went to Debug > Start Debugging. It seems to run the whole sql and doesn't stop at my breakpoints.

Can you help me work out what I am doing wrong?

Additional Information - If I select some lines of my sql that contains a breakpoint and press f10 then it hits the breakpoint, but if I have nothing selected and press f10 my breakpoints are not hit

Turns out I had some errors in the sql that I didn't notice. I had copied this from a stored procedure and it included some return -1 statements. After I commented these out I was able to debug ok :)
