@Gregor i dont see a way of commenting on others edits. Maybe I'm just missing something, but I really struggle with the interface.

@Spacedman you can comment on edits, but only for the brief time that they are in review (gotta comment under an example). there are requests for more comprehensive discussion features, but the SO staff seems indifferent at best to the idea meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/328895/… and meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/329173/…
