I must have been out of the loop on the JS matter because your rant was news to me. Some might argue that consistency is not R's strong suit.

It just got me thinking along the lines of non-consistent function and argument names. There's little consistency on what constitutes a good programming practice, although I will admit this is not in the hands of the core developers since packages have become very diverse with increasing potential for becoming a nightmare.

I'm tempted to point out that the script is missing some semicolons. stackoverflow.com/questions/30529252/…
