Ok, today's rant is about pre-pack cheese packaging. 'For your convenience', a rectangular block of cheese is supplied in a ziplock/resealable bag.This requires tools, (clean scissors), to unseal, so I have to wash up first.
Once I have cut along the dotted line, the top edges still cannot be separated easily by hand, so I have to grab the sides and pull, so sucking air, bacteria and mould spores inside. Having managed that, I still cannot get at the cheese block because it sticks to the sides of the bag. I cannot get the cheese out without touching it because the ziplock is along the maj…

Pointless personal story: my oldest brother bought Rick Wakeman's "The Six Wives of Kind Henry the Eighth" and "Brain Salad Surgery" on the same trip to the store. @ThePhD I certainly thought so. Still do, I guess--my memory of that evening is still quite clear 40+ years later (and listening to that music still sometimes gives me chills that I'm pretty sure go beyond what it probably causes for almost anybody else).

So Belgium might have a shortage of electricity if the coming winter turns out to be cold one. A nuclear power station is temporarily (> 1 year) shut down after sabotage was detected a few weeks ago. And another one is shut-down because the "walls" are showing cracks.
