I am playing with generic lambda in C++1y and I often confused by don't know what is the type of auto variable/parameter. Is any good way to find it out? Currently I am using typeid(decltype(arg)).name()) but it is not very useful. @encode gives a slightly better result but still hard to deciphe...

I feel like the C standard library (however small it is) has more magic than the C++ one.

yeah, but I need to figure out how to get it installed on my machine

For gcc 4.8 I built it myself but it did require some special configuration flags to make it build. I took me a while to figure all that out back then.

I don't feel motivated to repeat this for GCC 4.9.

So I'm hoping for a quick and simple way.

One of the most obvious? The community bulletin. Maybe I have not been paying much attention in the past, but nowadays there seems to be a lot of emphasize on community this, community that. Even the chats have been pushed to the front on meta sites & chats are more or less community oriented
